You Can Be Unstoppable

The pursuit of a career, a dream, or the fulfillment of God’s purpose for your life doesn’t always come easy.  So often the unexpected, the undesirable, and the seemingly undeserved roadblock arises to obstruct your path and it seems as though your pursuit has come to an end.  However, when you put your trust in God you can rest assured in knowing that the very roadblocks that seem to be stopping your progress are actually being used by God to propel you forward in His purposes for your life.

Roadblocks are not always easy to deal with and I for one can attest to the fact that I simply don’t like them. Yet, despite my disdain they have become a common part of my life.  They’ve come in the forms of failure, plans falling through, loss, lack of opportunities, etc., and can be dispiriting to say the least. However, when I look back I see God’s perfect providence in each roadblock and recognize that they were not designed to stop me but to move me forward in fulfilling His, not my, purpose.

The Bible illustrates this point perfectly through the life of Paul in Philippians chapter two.  God’s purpose for Paul’s life was to spread the gospel.  Paul trusted God enough to be on board with His plan and he devoted his life to doing just that.  As a result the enemy was angry and sought to stop Paul from moving in his purpose by causing him to be imprisoned.  This was quite the roadblock.

Yet, what the devil failed to realize was that any individual connected with Christ cannot be stopped.  Thus, while Paul was in prison God was working, and as a direct result of his imprisonment his message reached the palace, a place that it had been unable to reach in the past.  Now an entirely new audience was exposed to the message of salvation.  God’s purposes for Paul’s life were being fulfilled in the midst of a roadblock.

Roadblocks have the tendency to catch us off guard and throw us off of our game.  Therefore, we must remember that when we partner up with God, roadblocks cannot stop us.  God examines each one and determines how to best use it to keep us on our path toward success.  Often the type of success God desires for us to achieve as a result of encountering the road block is much greater than the success we could have ever imagined for ourselves.  This is good news!  So the next time you face your difficult situation just remember that God is working it out in ways you could never imagine.  You can’t be stopped because with Him you are truly unstoppable.

I’m sure many of you have experienced road blocks in your lives, where the devil tried to keep you from your destiny. Please encourage someone else along the way by sharing your experience and you made it past your roadblock in victory!
